Vision, Purpose, and Outcomes

The Salvation Army Ethics Centre is a ministry of The Salvation Army that provides an accessible environment and resources for ethical thinking and engagement,  richly informed by the Christian faith.

Its vision is to be a collaborative team known for ethical expertise, engagement, discernment and moral courage, equipping The Salvation Army to stand boldly as a spiritual force with an acute social conscience.

Its purpose is to nurture ethical awareness, practice and character in the people who are The Salvation Army.

Its desired outcomes are that The Salvation Army and its constituents will:

1. address ethical issues using Christian principles,
2. achieve congruency between organizational values and practice, and
3. advance the cause of global social justice.
